Outreach activity

The physical isolation of some rural communities coupled with the lack of infrastructure makes it increasingly difficult for those that live in these regions to travel to seek care in clinics and hospitals. DHS realised that it needed to extend its services to those in the neighbouring villages / wadis who cannot come across to its clinics . DHS worked with its nurses, doctors and the local administration to understand the concerns the neighbouring villages / wadis. A programme was designed as an Outreach Activity to be able to extend its services to these localities. Our ambassadors ( Nurses) became our Arogya Rakshaks (AR) and took it upon themselves to devote two days in a week to assist these villages Our AR mounted on their scooters , Health Buddy bag on their back were all set to go to the villages. Each patient was able to connect through Telemedicine to our Senior Doctors , seek advise and prescription for his discomfort. The exercise has been a huge success.
